As an industry leader and employer of choice, we're Made for More.About the RoleWesTrac is currently seeking an experienced technician to join our team as a Site Performance Specialist based at customer sites in the Hunter Valley.Reporting to the Mining Support Manager, the Site Performance Specialist plays a pivotal role in maximising our mining customers return on their fleet investments by providing technical support, advice on equipment optimisation and analysing fleet performance data to drive improvements in overall asset performance.This dynamic role is offered as a full-time permanent position working Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.A current Order 43 medical or ability to complete is an essential requirement for this position.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain key customer relationships with each allocated siteUtilise fleet performance data to proactively drive improvement in asset performanceCarry out wear management inspectionsRegular report generation as requiredWorking with customers on resolution of unplanned downtime to ensure timely resolutionIdentify sales opportunities and communicate these to the Mining Support Representative for actioningMonitor and review maintenance and operational practices and technology applications that impact machine performance and make recommendations for improvement to optimise TCOQualificationsTertiary qualifications in Engineering or Mechanical Trade Certificate5-year post qualification/trade experience working on Cat equipment would be highly regardedExperience with CAT systems including DBS, SIS and ET is desirableCurrent Drivers License – C Class minimumSkills and ExperienceAdvanced interpersonal skills with proven customer service and relationship management skillsUnderstanding of large mining equipment 'Total Cost of Ownership' (TCO) and its driversAbility to troubleshoot equipment faults and recommend solutionsAbility to work successfully in a team and autonomouslyExcellent organisation skills, with the ability to manage conflicting prioritiesHigh level of initiative and problem-solving skillsWell-developed ability to analyse asset health and performance data and compile reportsFamiliarity with Caterpillar programs such as SIS, ET, SIMSi, TMI (Desirable)Why WesTracAs one of the World's leading Caterpillar dealers, WesTrac services a broad range of customers across NSW, ACT & WA.
