About the Role:
Inside SM's innovation engine, the Advanced Embedding Team consists of world-class engineers who collaborate closely with machine learning researchers to build amazing embedded AI products. The group has a singular objective to build and deliver cutting-edge AI products on edge devices using the latest AI technology in a scalable, efficient and cost-effective way. As a part of this team, you will be working with the absolute cutting-edge technology in the field of deep learning, computer vision and embedding; and exploring the boundaries of what is possible in the realm of driver and operator monitoring.

We are looking for outstanding engineers who are passionate about building AI products for edge devices.
Working closely with the team of machine learning researchers, you will be responsible for building cutting-edge AI products that are highly optimized and can deliver real-time performance. You will have the following main responsibilities:
Using the latest and greatest AI tools to deliver efficiency in AI product delivery via automation.
Taking ownership of proof-of-concept AI algorithms, understanding the science behind it and converting them into real products that are flawless!
Working with a team of embedding experts to deploy your algorithm on the production hardware.
Work closely with multiple collaborators (both internal and external) and have the knowledge of the full-stack to ensure seamless product delivery.

What do you need for this role:
Mandatory:
Outstanding Bachelor's qualification Software Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or equivalent.
Experience in developing products using C/C++.
Experience in deep learning, machine learning and computer vision.
Strong problem-solving skills, written and verbal communication skills.
Be a team player and effectively collaborate with multiple teams.
Desirable:
Post-graduate qualification (PHD or Master's in Computer Vision, Machine Learning, or equivalent).
Experience in building and deploying AI systems.
Experience with Embedded hardware.
Experience with Git and Docker.
Experience with automation and MLOps tools.
