Python/Data/Ml Specialist

6+6 Month Federal Government Contract Baseline Clearance required (or the ability to obtain one) ACT, Symonston location, Remote capability where possible Our Federal Government Client is seeking for an Experienced Python Developer/Data Engineer/Machine Learning Specialist to support the development of high-demand remote sensing products to support governmental agencies and the industry environmental monitoring and accounting. The role will be involved in the implementation of a bespoke Machine Learning platform during the 24-25 financial year.
Skills and Experience of the successful candidate: Deep understanding and proven experience of machine learning techniques , ideally when applied to remote sensing data . Demonstrated expertise and experience in handling and processing very large datasets across varied computing environments. Familiarity with the Amazon Web Services (AWS) platform . Skilled in streamlining and enhancing data workflows on platforms such as AWS, Kubernetes, and Terraform , to improve scalability and performance. Able to collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and industry partner and offer guidance and mentorship. Knowledge of the Open Data Cube and open-source tools developed and used by Digital Earth Australia (DEA) is an added advantage.
