Job DescriptionYour new Employer:
Our client is a large complex business who are embarking on an exciting time of growth and innovation.
Due to continued expansion, they are seeking a talented Analyst to support the upcoming acquisitions for a 4-6 month temporary assignment.

Your new role:
Reporting to the FP&A Manager; you will have hands-on experience in mergers and acquisitions, due diligence, financial analysis, and end-to-end transaction support, particularly within the SME space.
The role involves gathering and analyzing data, conducting thorough financial modeling, and assisting with various aspects of M&A deals, ensuring accuracy and efficiency throughout the process.

Your key responsibilities include:

Conduct comprehensive due diligence on target companies, analyzing financial data, legal documents, and other relevant information.Assist in all phases of the M&A process, from initial deal evaluation to post-transaction integration.Utilize advanced Excel skills, including financial modeling and power queries, to develop detailed financial projections and three-way financial statements.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify potential risks and opportunities associated with M&A transactions.Prepare reports, presentations, and other materials to support decision-making by senior management and stakeholders.Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to M&A activities.Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, addressing inquiries and providing insights as needed.

About You!
Will ideally hold a professional qualification (CFA, CA, CPA, or MBA).Previous experience in M&A, due diligence, financial analysis, and transaction support, preferably with SMEs or backed by private equity firms.Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis, with advanced Excel skills and knowledge of power queries (preferable).Manufacturing or product-based industry experience is preferred but not essential.Self-motivated and autonomous, with a proactive approach to gathering and analyzing data.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
