The Opportunity CSL is a leading global biotechnology company with a dynamic portfolio of life-saving medicines, including those that treat haemophilia and immune deficiencies, as well as vaccines to prevent influenza.
We are currently looking for a Logistics Team Leader to join our team at the Melbourne office. This is a 12-month fixed term contract .
Reporting to the Head of Site Warehouse and Logistics , you will manage the raw material warehousing operations at the CSL Melbourne site delivering superior levels of services to all customers. You will manage the day-to-day coordination and administration of warehousing, and compliance (various GxP as appropriate) processes for raw materials, plasma and paste at CSL Melbourne site.
The Role Manage the logistics operational requirements for Raw Material processing. Plan, direct and control activities for the operational team to meet all the daily operational activities. Monitor operational expenses ensuring, where practicable, costs are within budget/forecasts. Manage, coach, motivate and develop staff to ensure service is delivered to all customers effectively and efficiently. Proactively work with Sourcing, Planning and other key stakeholders to ensure efficient raw materials flow to the Broadmeadows site. Adopt and promote continuous improvement practices actively reviewing warehouse operations and processes, identify and action opportunities for improvement as required. Planning and monitoring warehouse activities such as layout and storage systems and recommending improvements to the current functioning of the Warehouse. Manage accurate and effective materials control within Warehousing facilities, including but not exclusive to:Inventory verification (including cycle counting / stocktaking) Timely stock adjustments and write off's Stock rotation monitoring Warehouse capacity planning and monitoring Yard management Resource management Your Skills and Experience Tertiary qualifications Logistics or Supply Chain Management. Extensive warehouse operations (low volume, high value material) experience within a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. Strong experience in managing and leading a team of operators. Experience working in cGMP, GWP and GDP environment. Experience with Warehouse Management Systems and ERP systems – SAP and LOGIC. Exceptional presentation and interpersonal skills.
