About the Opportunity Neil Mansell Transport Pty Ltd is looking for a full-time Operations / Logistics Supervisor based in Toowoomba, QLD. This role reports to the Senior Operations Manager and is responsible for the efficient allocation of resources and coordination of local and line-haul logistics operations.
Your responsibilities include: Recording daily duties for a team of approximately 40+ drivers Allocating daily tasks for local drivers, line-haul drivers, and dog trailer runners Configuring trailer setups (single, double, and triple combinations) to optimise routes Collaborating with the Workshop Manager to schedule trucks, trailers, and dollys in line with the driver roster Checking and signing off timesheets for accurate tracking Leading toolbox meetings to ensure safety and operational updates Supporting HSE and Training teams to keep drivers' training and inductions current Administering fatigue management strategies to prioritise driver well-being and safety Maintaining consistent communication with drivers to support daily operations and address any needs as they arise About You To qualify, you will need relevant industry experience and qualifications, with a strong foundation in logistics or transport management, ideally within line-haul operations. Experience in a similar role, with a thorough understanding of logistics processes, driver coordination, and trailer combinations, is essential to thrive in this position.
While specific certifications are not mandatory, the following certifications are highly valued , and assistance will be provided to help you attain them if you bring the right experience and motivation :
Chain of Responsibility (CoR) Certification Basic Fatigue Management (BFM) or Advanced Fatigue Management (AFM) Certificate III or IV in Logistics You will also need: Advanced organisational skills with a strong ability to manage time and priorities Proficiency in logistics systems, including data entry and IT skills Strong communication and leadership skills to maintain team cohesion and support driver needs A problem-solving mindset and calm approach under pressure About the Benefits Earn a competitive salary ranging from $120,000 to $130,000 annually, commensurate with your experience and expertise in the logistics industry.
