KB Seafood Co. is one of Australia's largest seafood companies operating at all levels of the supply chain including catching, processing, manufacturing, importing, exporting, and wholesaling. We provide over 30,000 tonnes of seafood annually to leading foodservice operators and major supermarkets.About The Role:Ensure food products are consistent, fit for purpose and meet food safety, quality, legal requirements, and satisfy customers' expectations. The imports coordinator also manages container status; and coordinates container clearances and movements to optimise supply continuity whilst eliminating detention charges.Key Responsibilities:Support and assist in the monitoring and updating information relating to ETA's, transhipments, unload dates and Biosecurity/IFIS holds.Support the team in ensuring the maintenance of container status in SAP once shipments have been dispatched and suppliers have provided full and correct documentation.Maintain SAP and update all relevant business departments of shipment delays/early arrival.Chase and compile all import documentation required for clearance and ensure this is pre-cleared with customs broker before vessel ETA.Support and liaise with transport companies to ensure booked time slots at wharf will meet the required slot at the cold store/customer premise.Investigate EDI late provision from 3PL cold store and ensure stock is receipted in inventory within 24 hours after unpacking.Receipt stock in SAP for shipments delivered direct to customers.Communicate timely to QA/Logistic Team/Sales/Purchase/Cold Stores with any issues involved.Check & code transport, lab, clearance invoices are correctly invoiced for payments.Issue claims onto International and Logistic suppliers and ensure these claims are settled.Organise and manage applicable Biosecurity/IFIS inspections as required.Arrange re-export of non-compliant stock under FSANZ, DAFF and QA specifications.Arrange clearance and delivery of import airfreight samples required for company evaluation.Manage samples for laboratory testing and review results.Sort and compile original documents, lodging OBL to shipping lines and updating SAP of status.Monitor and secure quickest clearance and delivery for all Samples Airfreights.Request payment for suppliers with Finance Department, based on trading terms.Sort and archive original documents, surrendering OBL to shipping lines and updating SAP of status.Skills and Experience:Certificate or Diploma in International BusinessMinimum 3 years' experience working within the food/FMCG industry, ideally with knowledge of DAFF regulations and a sound understanding of Australia's Imports Regulations and PoliciesExperience working within Logistics industry (shipping line/freight forwarder)Experience working with International suppliersHigh level of verbal and written communication skillsHigh level of computer literacy including Microsoft Office suiteHigh level of accuracy and attention to detailHave relevant working rights for a Full-Time permanent positionHow to Apply:If you are looking for a unique and varied role, working in a fast-paced environment - and you satisfy the requirements above - we'd love to hear from you.To apply, click the APPLY now button and upload your resume.
