MACA is on the hunt for a Logistics Lead to join our business on a permanent, full-time basis, working Monday to Friday in Welshpool.
In this role you will successfully manage group logistics objectives on time and within budget. Implementation of transportation and delivery solutions to ensure reliable and consistent transportation of goods and componentry is attained for operations spanning the Western Region.
Responsibilities: Following through with the planning and implementing activities related to the timely, cost effective procurement, inventory control, planning and quality control of services and indirect goods for the company.Developing, implementing and maintaining Group policies, procedures and control systems to reduce cost, streamline processes and implement solutions.Ensure that the suppliers are providing a competent and reliable service to ensure they are held to account and supply contracts.Ensure effective communication and working relationships between contractors and service providers.Plan and co-ordinate the transportation of purchased componentry or goods in a timely and reliable fashion.Plan and co-ordinate daily freight vehicles for onsite material deliveries and the safe loading and unloading of materials and spare parts for both workshop and project requirements.Plan and co-ordinate freight for parts required urgently for Machine Down situations.Plan and co-ordinate transport arrangements for Earthmoving Tyres nationally.Plan and co-ordinate transport arrangements for heavy haulage assets and ancillary plant mobilised to or demobilised from projects.Recognise, resolve and report on any freight issues such as damaged freight, lost freight, incorrect freight.Examine consignment notes, spend data and invoices for inaccuracies and ensure correct costs are being allocated to appropriate projects.To be successful in this role, you will have: Minimum of 5 years' experience in Logistics.Experience across heavy haulage and general freight.Previous leadership experience.Client focused with strong planning and organisational skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Intermediate skills using the Microsoft Office suite.What we will offer you: Culture: People are the key to the success of MACA, and we back that up with support of each person to be successful in their role and also to give opportunities to progress to more responsibility.Variety: MACA is the leading Mining/Civil contractor in Australia – you will be supporting all manner of projects across the country.Benefits: A very competitive salary – plus a large suite of salary sacrificing options through a third-party provider and a range of corporate discounts.There are many long-term opportunities available across our business, and more on the horizon.
