About North Marine: North Marine is a marine services business based in Cairns. We provide commercial dive support to in-water infrastructure on the Great Barrier Reef. We also maintain a fleet of live-aboard vessels, primarily focusing on science, cargo operations and training in the commercial sector. North Marine is an Australian-owned company providing well-maintained vessels and associated equipment that are operated by a qualified and competent crew. About the role: The Logistics Coordinator is a core role within the business that reports to the General Manager with accountability for the safe and efficient operation of North Marine vessels and the day-to-day organisation of the business activities. The role will also have a strong focus on day-to-day project logistics, crewing and compliance with regulatory and WHS standards. The role requires strong communication skills and the ability to work within a diverse team in a highly dynamic environment.

Key responsibilities: Work closely within the operations team to organise projects.Provide input regarding capital improvements planning.Ensure the vessels and assets of North Marine are sea-ready at all times, including coordinating in-house repairs or using external contractors.Coordinate logistics for project work and delegate responsibilities within the workforce to ensure seamless planning and execution of all projects.Perform other duties, responsibilities and special projects as required.Skills and Experience: Ability to lead and oversee operations functions comparable to North Marine's operations. Ability to work within a diverse staff. Ability to lead, investigate and provide practical solutions to complex management, industry and maritime issues. Ability to communicate clearly with a diverse staff and contractor base. High-level verbal and written communication and presentation skills. Ability to use computer software. Minimum of five years' experience in industrial operations, marine facilities, property management, business development or similar. In-depth knowledge of the marine sector and associate trades would be an advantage. Master Remuneration: $90,000 + superannuation + 4 weeks paid leave. Full-time salary position.
