Band 4 Salary from $34.46 - 36.70 per hour + super Ongoing Part Time (0.61 FTE) position The Role: The primary objective of this position will be to provide effective customer service by responding to and investigating enquiries and administering the requirements of legislation, policies and procedures relative to the position. While effectively performing administrative tasks associated with Local Law permit applications and Planning compliance tasks.
This role is responsible to; Assist in the processing of local law permit applications, including assessment, requests for further information/amendment, issuing or refusal of permits and renewal. Respond to Local Law general enquiries. Maintain records and systems appropriate to the position in accordance with Councils policies and procedures, Privacy and Data Protection Act 2014 and Public Records Act 1973. Ensure service delivery complies with Council's Policies and Procedures. Other administrative duties as necessary Participate in review of Standard Operating Procedures About You: The successful applicant will have experience with understanding legislation, possess excellent communication and organisation skills with the ability to gain cooperation and assistance from stakeholders, clients, Council staff and members of the public as well as assist with enquiries or to convey information and instructions.
Key Selection Criteria: Completion of training course(s) in Municipal Law Enforcement and/or demonstrated knowledge of the legislation, regulations and Local Laws relevant to the position. Demonstrated relevant experience in legislative enforcement, investigations including the ability to provide quality recommendations and resolutions. A 'can do' approach with people, working cooperatively with teams and individuals across a range of service provision. Excellent time management and organisational skills Proficiency in the use of computer software such as Microsoft office and database packages.
