The Loans Processing Officer – Conveyancer undertakes the necessary tasks required to ensure that our clients' security interest is registered on the Certificate of Title at the time of funding, as well as facilitating the removal of the clients' interest when the loan is discharged or repaid. The Loans Processing Officer – Conveyancer works closely with the Settlements & Discharges Team to ensure that all tasks associated with the processing of new loan files are completed with a focus on the end-to-end process. Key Duties and Responsibilities: Managing all tasks in the electronic workspace provided by an Electronic Lodgement Network Operator (ELNO), to ensure that settlements are achieved on the agreed settlement date. Liaise with clients, brokers, conveyancers, and solicitors to book new settlements. Attend manual settlements which fall outside of the parameters of ELNO settlements to ensure timely completion. Co-ordinate settlement funds and validate against associated bank accounts. Timely and accurate verification and lodgement of loan and mortgage documents. Discharge of mortgage where required and the removal of our clients' interest from the Title upon completion of the loan discharge. Ensure documentation complies with corporate and regulatory obligations, along with risk standards and storage protocols. Validate the settlement and discharge figures for loans prior to completion. Resolve any enquiries in relation to settlements and discharges, LTO searches. Identify and assist in implementing any potential improvements to processes in order to meet strategic objectives and maintain best practice. Resolve all queries and concerns in relation to booked settlements and discharges. Provide administrative support within the wider team (pre-settlement). Create and maintain conditions for effective relations with relevant external organisations, government agencies, customers, and vendors where appropriate. Respond to stakeholder queries in a prompt and courteous manner. Qualified and registered Conveyancer in accordance with the Conveyancers Act 1994 (SA). Understanding of mortgage processes and all associated tasks, legislation, and regulatory requirements. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong customer service skills. Ability to work as part of a team and maintain exceptional work standards. Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills, ability to meet deadlines, and high level of attention to detail.
