Platinum Livestock's independent market position, market coverage and access to a broad cross section of livestock demand, combined with the various strengths of our team and our JV partners global market strength, create a tremendous opportunity for the right person to grow and develop in the SA Livestock industry. About the opportunity: Reporting to the General Manager, your responsibilities will include: Performing administrative tasks for our Livestock business, including accounts payable and receivable, expenses, banking, livestock and clearing sale processing, stock control, ordering, receipting. Assist customers and clients with pricing and product queries. Maintaining safety processes and always acting in a safe way. Livestock marketing and client awareness. Provide effective data processing support to livestock agents. Analyze, systems, procedures, and business data, as required by our team and management. Assist in the management of debtors including credit department and senior management direction. Opportunity to work at our various saleyard operations. About you: To be successful in this role you will have previous experience in a team support role in a busy environment and ideally have a passion for Australian farming and agriculture. A background in livestock administration is highly desirable but not a pre-requisite. In addition, you will demonstrate: A proactive approach to work and practical organisation skills Excellent attention to detail Knowledge or experience with cattle and /or sheep livestock is advantageous but not essential. Effective verbal communications skills to build solid long-term customer and client relationships. Problem solving skills and empathy to resolve customer issues promptly. Ability to identify ways to improve internal sales processes. Excellent computer skills including Word, and Outlook & the ability to learn new systems quickly.
