Wallace Wilkinson & Webster is a progressive Tasmanian Legal Practice offering specialist advice in all aspects of the Law.We require an experienced Litigation Lawyer to join our well respected and close-knit Litigation Department. Ideally applicants will have at least three (3) years post admission experience (PAE).The role may involve resolving disputes in areas including commercial and corporations law, estate law, insolvency law and employment law. The successful applicant will be required to manage their own workload and undertake tasks including preparation of legal documents, reviewing documents, providing advice, drafting pleadings, briefing counsel, and appearing in courts and tribunals throughout Tasmania.Preferred Knowledge, Experience & SkillsA strong understanding of principles of commercial and corporate law, estate law, insolvency law, or a suitable combinationDemonstrate experience in litigation, in particular drafting pleadings and appearing as counsel in courts and tribunalsExcellent analytical, drafting, and negotiation skillsProven time management and organisation skillsBe self-motivatedHigh attention to detail and effective communication skillsA desire to produce high level work and achieve practical outcomes for clientsAbility to develop and maintain key stakeholder relationshipsYou can expectThe role will be reporting to the Commercial Litigation Partner and will have the opportunity to receive guidance and mentoring from our highly experienced practitioners to ensure your continued growth and learning in these areas of law.
