This role is ideal for an Associate Lawyer ready to grow within a dynamic Disputes & Litigation team.The Role:As an Associate Lawyer, you will work closely with the Senior Litigation Lawyer and Partner, handling a range of client matters. Your responsibilities will include drafting pre-action documents and court submissions, preparing for court appearances and mediations, and maintaining communication with all stakeholders. If you have a passion for litigation and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, this role is for you.Key Responsibilities:Draft legal documents and submissions for Magistrates, Supreme, District, ERD, SACAT, SAET, and Federal Courts.Assist in court preparations and mediations, attending where required.Draft correspondence for senior review.Engage professionally with clients, barristers, opposing counsel, and court officials.Manage legal tasks efficiently to ensure timely outcomes.Requirements:3-5 years of litigation experience, preferably in commercial disputes.Experience in insolvency, construction law, and advocacy is highly valued.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases simultaneously.Professional client communication skills.What We're Looking For:Strong attention to detail and accuracy in drafting and legal research.Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and stakeholders.Proactive, with a mature approach to managing files and tasks autonomously.A team player who contributes positively to the workplace environment.Strong time management skills in a fast-paced legal setting.This role offers mentorship from senior lawyers and partners, providing ample opportunities for professional growth.
