As the Head of Roads and Quarry, you will lead and inspire the Roads Delivery, Planning, Engineering, and Quarry teams, building on recent structural and strategic changes. Your leadership will provide the required direction to ensure programs and projects effectively meet community needs and maintain the department's mission to improve the roads for our community with pride.
You'll be working in a full-time role that will primarily be based at our Wyrallah Road Depot.
What we trust you to deliver Lead the teams to establish industry leading solutions, practices and processes to enable best practice road maintenance and construction. Coordinate the development, maintenance and continuous improvement of internal systems to increase team efficiency, effectiveness and customer experience. Manage and mentor a large workforce fostering a positive morale and culture that shows pride in delivering and maintaining quality infrastructure for our community. Deliver competing accountabilities and projects while contributing to the larger organisational goals, operating in a complex and dynamic environment. What you'll need to be successful 10+ years experience in a senior management or executive position within the roads, civil or construction sectors. A degree or postgraduate studies in a relevant field would be highly regarded. A strategic approach and an analytical mindset to the way you set the priorities and direction of your team. The ability to communicate and develop relationships with our people at all levels of our organisation will be the key to your success in this role. A history of delivering results, solving complex problems and empowering your teams to embrace high performance will be essential. Salary: An attractive salary is on offer to the successful candidate, including an option to a lease-back vehicle.
