You will be focusing on Linux system support and administration as well as VRealize Automation (VRA) Suite administration. This role involves problem resolution, technical support, and assisting in the planning and maintenance of hyperconverged & automation technology.About The RoleLinux System Support & AdministrationServe as backup for the primary Linux System Support Engineer.Take a lead role in the Automation space.Perform server hardware installation and configuration.Update firmware and drivers.Manage file systems and volume layouts.Scripting for BCV, clone, and snapshot management.Handle data migration and configuration management.System AdministrationLoad applications on servers.Register clients at websites.Monitor backup success/failure and resolve issues.Provide first-level support and escalate issues as needed.Monitor server availability and performance, manage incidents and problems.Manage server access and Access Control Policy (ACP).Maintain OS and firmware.Deploy application changes and monitor automated discovery and reports.Ensure application backup and issue resolution.About YouEssentialMinimum of 3 years experience as a Linux System Admin.Proficiency in Linux, VMware / vSphere, and VRA.Experience with:Linux System Support and AdministrationSQLShell scriptingUser account managementWindows Server AdministrationNetwork (LAN) exposureDesirableLinux Administrator Certification.Experience with Hyperconverged Solutions (e.g., VxRail SDDC).VMware Certification (vCenter, vCloud, vSphere).Knowledge of storage solutions (e.g., Unity).Familiarity with backup solutions (e.g., Networker, Data Domain).RequirementsMust be an Australian Citizen with security clearances such as Baseline and NV1/2.Open to flexible or part-time work arrangements for the right candidate.Our client values diversity and encourage applications from candidates of all backgrounds, including return-to-work mothers.If you are a cross-functional team player looking to make a significant impact and support a major managed services customer, we would love to hear from you!Please get in touch with Steven on email .
