The level of payment will be subject to an assessment of the applicant's knowledge, skill and competencies required for the position.Roster will be 9 days on, 5 days off and receive a loading of 37% for all of the identified hours worked within the roster block.As an Electrical Fitter Mechanic, you will:Be trade qualified with a Queensland Electrical Fitter Mechanic licence.Install, repair, commission and maintain various items of electrical equipment and plant.Experience in line work and/or HV cable jointing preferred.As a Linesperson or Live Line Linesperson, you will:Be trade qualified with a Queensland Electrical Licensing Board Certificate of Competency as an Electrical Linesperson.Construct, maintain and repair overhead, high, and low voltage electrical distribution and sub-transmission systems, street lighting mains and customer service lines.About you:Critical to your success in the role, is your:Demonstrated knowledge of an electricity distribution/transmission system, including construction and maintenance of the electrical network.Working knowledge of Electricity Act & Regulations, Workplace Health & Safety Act and Regulations, and other relevant statutory acts & regulations.Availability for call out and emergency work.Willingness to travel to surrounding areas from time to time to undertake work.Current 'C' class open Drivers Licence.You will be required to complete a pre-employment medical as part of the selection process.Most importantly, you will strongly align with our values: We're Safe – We Belong – We Grow - We Deliver.About us:Energy Queensland is Australia's largest, wholly government-owned electricity company with more than 10,000 employees.
