This is a unique opportunity for an experienced light vehicle roadworthy tester to join our new team and contribute to our growth.
About the role:As a Roadworthy Technician, you will assess and recondition light to medium-duty trucks to ensure they meet safety and regulatory standards for roadworthiness.
Your expertise will ensure our customers receive reliable and safe vehicles.
Conduct thorough inspections on light-medium duty trucks to identify necessary repairs and maintenance for roadworthy compliance.Prepare vehicles performing reconditioning tasks, including all mechanical repairs.Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tyre rotations, and brake replacements.Utilise diagnostic equipment and tools to identify and resolve vehicle issues accurately.Ensure all work is completed following safety regulations and manufacturer specifications.Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used.Collaborate with the workshop controller and service team to streamline processes and improve efficiency.Collaborate with the service team to ensure timely and efficient repairs.About you:Relevant trade qualifications and a roadworthy certificate for light vehicles.Ideal experience working with commercial vehicles.Experience in reconditioning and roadworthy inspections in a dealership environment.Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach.VIC Drivers licence.On Offer:Salary negotiated on experience plus overtime.A $5000 sign-on bonus is available for eligible qualified Heavy Vehicle Technicians.
