Production Supervisor - Catering

6 Months Fixed Term Fulltime HS3  About the Role This Monday-to-Friday role calls for a strong leader with expertise in bulk cooking (HACCP principles) and experience in both conventional and cook-chill methods on a large scale.
The Production Supervisor will ensure strict adherence to food safety policies and procedures, while overseeing food preparation for special functions and commercial outlets.
You'll lead and mentor your team, organize staff and workloads, and ensure production targets are met.
Plus, you'll step in to fill positions on the floor when needed, ensuring smooth operations at all times.
Key Responsibilities Ensure staff complete documentation per Grampians Health Ballarat (GHB) HACCP plan and file appropriately for audits.
Ensure adherence to all policies and procedures outlined in GHB Catering's HACCP plan.
Receive and verify incoming goods according to GHB Catering's HACCP plan.
Manage the purchasing of produce from preferred suppliers.
Actively contribute to menu design and development.
Maintain workplace safety by following Grampians Health Occupational Health and Safety policies, and ensure confidentiality and compliance with infection control and equal employment opportunity policies.
Skills & Experience Experience in the food services industry / a large food production kitchen preferred.
Experience in a management / team leader role within the food services industry.
A trade qualification in Cookery An accredited certificate as a food safety supervisor HLTFSE001, HLTFSE005 & HLTFSE007 (or willing to obtain before commencement) To see a full copy of the Position Description please  click here .
