As the Lifestyle Coordinator at the Oaks Aged Care Facility in Mount Gambier, SA, you will play a vital role in enhancing the overall wellbeing and quality of life for our residents. In this full-time position, you will design and coordinate a diverse range of lifestyle activities and programs tailored to meet the unique needs and preferences of our valued aged care community.
What you'll be doing
Developing and implementing engaging lifestyle programs and activities that promote physical, social, cognitive and emotional wellbeing Collaborating with residents, families and the care team to understand individual interests, hobbies and goals Organising group activities, outings, entertainment and special events to foster a vibrant and inclusive community Maintaining detailed records and reporting on resident participation and program outcomes Providing recommendations for continuous improvement of the lifestyle program Ensuring compliance with all relevant policies, procedures and industry regulations What we're looking for
Relevant tertiary qualification in Lifestyle Coordination, Diversional Therapy, Recreation or a related field Proven experience in designing and delivering person-centred lifestyle programs in an aged care or disability setting Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and empathise with residents and their families Strong organisational and time management skills, with the capacity to multi-task and prioritise effectively Passion for enhancing the wellbeing and quality of life for older adults Willingness to contribute to the overall success of the Oaks Aged Care Facility What we offer
