Join this regulatory and membership body as part of the collegiate in-house legal team carrying out a range of legal, regulatory and policy work.
About the role:
As the leader of this section and reporting into the Head of Regulation, your role will include:
Conducting regulatory matters and providing legal advice on regulatory issues relating to solicitors, including best practice legal practice processes, external audit, and trust accounting.
Drafting policies, procedures, and rules relating to legal practice.
Liaison with regulators and law enforcement.
Advice on changes to the law or regulation of solicitors in Australia.
Skills/Experience:
To be considered for this role you will have:
At least 7 years PAE, ideally including experience similar to the above.
A current unrestricted practising certificate.
Experience leading and managing a team.
Excellent time management skills and ability to manage deadlines.
Excellent customer engagement skills.
