We are seeking a qualified (or soon to graduate) library technician to join the Library Services Team.

In this role you will perform operational and administrative tasks which are essential to the running of our two library branch locations and online services and will provide customer service to researchers and practitioners across Queensland Police Service, Queensland Fire Department and Inspector General of Emergency Management.

The Core Capability Requirements For This Role Are:Provide library technical services working with print and digital collections, including circulation, shelving, scanning, acquisitions, serials and interlibrary loans/document delivery.Engage with library clients at the two library branches and through operation of library email accounts.Contribute to the promotion of library professional services and collections including library displays and the maintenance of intranet pages.Maintain library systems data including catalogue and membership records.End processing of new library materials.Produce performance statistics from library software, database platforms and other systems.Maintain and troubleshoot equipment including photocopiers and computers, facilities and stationery supplies.Role RequirementsQualificationAttainment of (or progress towards) a relevant qualification which enables eligibility for professional membership of the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA) as a library Technician is mandatory.OtherWillingness to work at both library locations (Oxley and Brisbane CBD).Applications to remain current for 12 months.
