ResponsibilitiesOrganise efficient procedures and systems for delivery of services including effective library systems for organising, accessing, retrieving and circulating resourcesMaintain and manage online library platformsProvide a friendly, safe and secure environment that encourages students to utilise library servicesBuild relationships with students in the librarySupervise and manage students in the library throughout the day including before and after school and during recess and lunchtimesIdentify collection development priorities and coordinate the selection of new resources, in consultation with staff, to ensure that the needs of the curriculum are metProvide resources to cater for a range of abilities and interestsMaintain an up-to-date knowledge of the use of learning technologies across the schoolPlan and monitor the library budget to ensure effective provisionCoordinate the roles and daily tasks of library staff and volunteersLiaise with KLA coordinators as a member of the school curriculum committee to provide resources and curriculum supportPromote the library at school events such as open nightsManage library resources and ordering processes for Flexible Learning Centres (Benalla, Wodonga, Shepparton and Seymour)Support digital textbook management scheme for the collegeProvide instruction to classes, groups and individuals in the use of resources and provide opportunities for students to develop information skills and use them competently and effectivelyPromote to students and staff new resources relevant to their curriculum area and interestsProvide a variety of teaching/learning environments, for classes, for small groups and for individuals.Coordinate special events and activities to support student learningWho May ApplyIndividuals with the aptitude, experience and/or qualifications to fulfill the specific requirements of the position.
