This involves managing library systems to maintain up-to-date records and ensure accessibility of resources for students, staff, and parents at all times.
You will be responsible for administering library equipment and preparing procedure manuals to guide its use, offering training to enhance library skills and ensure effective utilisation of our facilities.Part of your role will include assisting students, parents, and staff in selecting appropriate materials suited to their needs and age groups.
You will be actively involved in budget preparation and monitoring, making recommendations for new resources that align with educational objectives.
Coordination of library visit schedules and providing technical advice on information technology systems are integral aspects of your responsibilities.
The successful applicant will ideally provide general administrative support to the front office including preparing correspondence, newsletters, notices and maintaining databases or websites.
Additionally, you will supervise library staff and volunteers, ensuring their duties are carried out effectively.
You will oversee small groups of students participating in activities in the library, promoting engagement with library resources.
