As a result of a recent restructure to better support the organisation and enhance Council's service delivery, this exciting NEW role is now on offer.
Reporting to the Director Corporate & Community Services, and supported by a small capable team, the diverse portfolio oversees the following functions:
Procurement, Contracts and Fleet Management Governance and Records Management WHS and Risk Leadership and Continuous Improvement The key responsibilities of this diverse role are to:
Effectively manage procurement, contracts, fleet administration, and related services Oversee the functions of WHS and Risk, Governance, Records Management, and Cemetery administration Support and provide advice to the Director Corporate & Community Services to develop, analyze, determine, and implement strategies which will enable Council's functions and services to be delivered efficiently and effectively Provide strategic oversight of, and operational support and guidance to the team under their leadership Relevant qualifications are essential; local government experience is preferable, and candidates with specific experience in procurement, contracts, and/or fleet management will be highly regarded.
A passionate and proactive approach, excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong attention to detail, and proficient computer literacy will be essential. The ability to lead and inspire a small team, collaborate across Council whilst aligning to the strategic objectives, will also be critical to success.
