We currently have an opportunity for an energetic Leisure and Lifestyle Coordinator to join us on a permanent full-time basis at our Ascot Waters Home.
About the Role We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Lifestyle Coordinator at CraigCare Ascot Waters. If you are passionate about enhancing the quality of life for older Australians and fostering strong local community connections, this role is perfect for you.
As the Lifestyle Coordinator, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating a vibrant and varied social activities program that specifically caters to the interests, hobbies, and spiritual and cultural needs of our residents. Reporting directly to the Home Manager, you will coordinate a team of therapy and lifestyle assistant staff and volunteers and work collaboratively with our allied health professionals to ensure our person-centred approach to caring for our 164 residents is delivered.
Responsibilities Develop lifestyle programs that reflect the individual and collective interests of all residents Prepare comprehensive lifestyle assessments for each resident Manage, coach and inspire the lifestyle team to deliver joyful and meaningful lifestyle activities Lead and coordinate bus excursions for residents Manage community partnership activities and seek out opportunities for community engagement Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the lifestyle program, making adjustments based on the evolving needs of our residents Maintain accurate assessments and documentation of participation Foster genuine and positive relationships with residents, their families, staff, and volunteers What You Will Bring Demonstrated understanding of Leisure and Lifestyle programming Experience in delivering person-centred care in accordance with the Aged Care Standards Previous experience in the aged care industry and dementia care Prior experience in a Lifestyle Assistant or Coordinator position, or a similar role Excellent communication and interpersonal skills A collaborative, team-oriented approach to work A friendly and joyful disposition A willingness to learn and a commitment to continual improvement in service delivery A minimum of a Certificate-III in Leisure and Lifestyle Ability to work flexible hours to ensure coverage of lifestyle activities seven days a week Experience with the Montessori philosophy lifestyle program is preferred but not required Ability to use technology and MS Office Essential Requirements: Current NDIS check clearance (or willing to obtain) Proof of Work rights in Australia Proof of COVID & flu vaccination certificate Culture and Benefits Learning & development: With over 40 years' experience, we have created a culture and environment for our staff to learn and grow with opportunity of ongoing professional development.
