THE ROLE & THE TEAM: We're recruiting for a Legal Secretary to join our Workers Compensation team in Newcastle.
Our Workers Compensation team covers the full spectrum of workplace injuries including major and minor orthopaedic, neurological and strain injuries, brain damage, catastrophic multi-injuries, exposure to hazardous substances, psychological injury, and stress claims.

WHAT YOU BRING: The ideal candidate will have experience in: Drafting legal documents, court documents, and correspondence Filing court documents online in various jurisdictions Organising and maintaining digital files, data entry, and maintenance of the Affinity database Preparing briefs for Counsel and Medical Experts, including indexing, collating and tabulating documents, and updating briefs during the course of matters Effectively managing and maintaining multiple calendars, monitoring court and client timeframes and providing reminders as necessary Arranging meetings, appointments, and coordinating travel arrangements Monitoring due dates for reports from experts and following up on outstanding reports/documents Monitoring return dates for subpoenas and arranging for produced documents to be copied and following up on outstanding subpoenas Billing including preparation and review of draft bills WHY CHOOSE HICKSONS?
