About the Role This role will involve work to support the Deputy President, Legal and Policy as a member of the Governance and Legal team. This role will provide accurate administrative and clerical support associated with complex multi-day cases, jurisdictional issues, and reconstitution applications across VCAT. The Legal Research Officer will support the tribunal by conducting independent legal research, assisting with evidence analysis, and aiding in the preparation of decision drafts. This role involves supporting the Deputy President, Legal and Policy in managing a list of cases, providing hearing support, and observing or assisting in hearings. The position is suited for individuals with a strong interest in the administration of justice, particularly those with experience in litigation or a background in legal policy.
