Simon Parsons & Co have been operating since 1985 and practice a broad range of jurisdictions including Personal Injuries, General Litigation, Estate Disputes, Family Law and Employment Law. We have three business workplaces in Gippsland: a large head office in Morwell (1.5hrs east of Melbourne CBD with suburban rail link at the door of the practice); a branch office in Warragul CBD; and a visiting office in Sale. Simon Parsons & Co run a dynamic team of 20 including Lawyers, Legal Executives, Senior Law Clerks and dedicated support staff – as well as an experienced body of barristers on call.
We are currently building our team. The successful applicant will be an experienced legal practitioner, engaged in complex and interesting matters working directly with the Principal of this firm. You will maintain autonomy on all files and handle the entire case from start to finish, whilst focusing on excellent client contact and file management. For the right applicant, there is a real opportunity to become a partner. At Simon Parsons & Co our team deals with clients from a variety of backgrounds, cultures, industries, and employment sectors. The firm services the legal needs of the people and small businesses of our region (including the agri-business network).
We do not act for any level of Government, Insurers, or major corporations – we only do 'people law'.
It is expected that you will:
Be an experienced Australian qualified lawyer and hold a Victorian practising certificate ; Have strong verbal and written communication skills; Be a well-organised, independent worker in a fast-paced environment. Post-admission experience would be an advantage. This role will provide you with:
