Part Time - Legal Receptionist - Government Contract Role Immediate start, initial contract through to 20/12/24 with likely extension Details: Rate: $37ph + superHours: Monday to Friday, 1:00pm - 5:30pmWeekly Hours: 22.5 hours per weekLocation: Sydney CBD, full time on siteExperience: Experience in a legal environment highly regardedVisa: Open to Working Holiday Visa candidatesCommitment: Must be able to commit to the initial length of contract Responsibilities include but not limited to: Reception - phone calls, messages, answering the door, booking meeting roomsPhotocopying and printingCourt runsStationery orders / maintaining of stockMail / Courier dutiesAssisting with archiving dutiesOther ad-hoc administration duties as required About you: High level communication skills (face to face, email and phone)Ability to take initiative and support the team where requiredAdaptable and a fast learner with a can-do attitudeUnderstanding of confidentiality and sensitive issuesEfficient, confident and hardworkingExperience within a legal environment is highly beneficialOpen to WHV candidates with experience in a legal environment Other notes about this role: A pleasant phone manner and good work ethic is a must. We need the successful candidate to be an all-rounder who is adaptable and happy to support their team and the solicitors of the office. Some ad-hoc tasks may include going across to the supermarket to get milk or things for morning tea, setting up meeting rooms, running files across the road to the courthouse, and big scanning/photocopying jobs. The nature of the business is administering justice, criminal prosecution, and so good common sense and the ability to maintain confidentiality are highly important. The successful candidate will come across information about criminal acts, victims, alleged offenders, etc. in their local community, so we are seeking candidates with a healthy and balanced outlook on life and the ability to handle confronting information.
