This pivotal role will provide QA of the External Panel of Lawyers for our Professional Indemnity and Liability Claims teams. Due to the nature of our claims, a significant proportion of them are referred to our external lawyers for advice on indemnity, liability, quantum, and strategy, as well as to manage litigated claims, Disciplinary Hearings and complex non-litigated claims.In this role you will monitor the quality of the legal services provided including quality of advice, strategy and commercial matter management, and our consultants' responsiveness and if appropriate, challenge, to that advice. You'll also track and monitor each Law firm's adherence to key requirements and timeframes in the Legal Services Agreement (LSA).This is a permanent opportunity open to candidates across Australia.ABOUT YOUYou will have a Law degree with minimum 5 years' legal practice specialising in general liability and/or professional indemnity claims.Excellent organisation and written and verbal communication skills.Comfortable accessing and using different systems.Excellent analytic skills.ABOUT USIAG is not only the largest general insurance group in Australia and New Zealand, underwriting over $AUD13 billion of premium per annum, we're also a tech and research facility, a hub for climate change experts and a centre of resilience design.
