Legal Project Officer, Acat Full-Time Temporary

The Legal Project Officer will lead the implementation of a new case type at the ACT Civil and Administrative Tribunal, which involves reviewable decisions under the Children and Young People Act 2008 in relation to care and protection. This position will work closely with the ACAT Registrar, case managing members, registry staff and other stakeholders, to scope required implementation tasks and to manage and track this project to operationalise the legal framework at ACAT.
The position will analyse the legal framework, determine appropriate case management pathways and procedures, deliver template documentation, and provide training to staff. This position will be supported by and have supervision of an ASO6 Project Officer.
The Legal Project Officer will be highly organised, self-motivated, and industrious, and have an excellent ability to maintain collaborative stakeholder relationships.

Eligibility/Other Requirements: A degree in laws of an Australian tertiary institution, or a comparable overseas qualification, is highly desirable. Experience working in a court or Tribunal environment is desirable. Computer literacy skills are relevant to this role as you will use several computer software programs to undertake the tasks of this role.
