To provide civil legal advice and litigation services to the State and its Agencies by acting as a litigation solicitor.

DutiesTo assist in the provision of legal advice to the State and its Agencies in respect of civil legal issues.To act as litigation solicitor in civil matters involving the State and its Agencies before any Commonwealth or State Courts, Tribunals or Boards at first instance, as may be directed from time to time by the State Litigator.To act as litigation solicitor in such other matters involving the State and its Agencies as may be directed from time to time by senior Counsel.To participate in performance management and file reviews as directed.Admitted or eligible for immediate admission as a Barrister or Practitioner of the Supreme Court of Tasmania.Pre-employment ChecksThe Head of State Service has determined that the person nominated for this vacancy is to satisfy a pre-employment check before taking up the appointment, promotion, or transfer.
