They are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Legal Senior Manager at their Melbourne office.
About the Role: This role will develop the Company Corporation's business activities in Australia by managing legal aspects of the projects and corporate matters.
Reporting to the Managing DirectorLegal lead for project development, asset management, and corporate mattersActing as the Company's legal representative and providing oversight and assurance for project development and asset managementConduct legal due diligence on acquisition opportunitiesLiaise with internal & external stakeholders, including project partners, lenders/clients' legal personnel/advisors, insurance providers, and the first nations people/entitiesCoordinate and interface with group companies and branches in other countriesAssist other team members during negotiations of project documents; direct negotiation on legal issues of project documentsUnderstand local conditions and requirements (e.g., social licence, environment, risk, traditional owner corporations) and ensure project organisations are capable of monitoring changes and developments in local environmentsSkills and Experience: We are looking for a candidate who demonstrates the following:
Having a Lawyer license in AustraliaMinimum 5 years of experience in legal work in project development, project management, M&A, and/or general corporate (preferably in power, renewable energy, or a related field), with hydrogen experience considered an advantageExcellent communication skills, demonstrating effective communication across all levels of the Company, client organisations, project partners, contractors, and governmentWillingness to travel (both domestic and overseas) as requiredKnowledge and experience in the hydrogen industry in Australia is a plusHow to Apply: You must have the right to live and work in Australia to apply for this role.
