Legal Counsel - Payments

You will be joining an ASX listed fintech as a legal counsel focusing on providing support and advice regarding legal issues across consumer credit, privacy, and general commercial work within a developing fun legal team in Sydney.

About the Role
Responsibilities include:
Providing legal and compliance advice across the business, including drafting policy and procedure documents, responding to complaints and disputes, and reviewing materials for marketing.Providing advice to the project and product teams regarding solutions within regulatory requirements.Investigating and remediating compliance incidents and breaches, maintenance of regulatory registers, and preparation and conducting of compliance training to the business.Researching and advising on legal and regulatory changes and effecting changes necessary to comply.About You 3-7 years PQE with relevant qualifications and current practising certificate.Background in banking and financial services law.Fast learner with strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.An ability to work autonomously as well as engage with others in a team environment.Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples are encouraged to apply.
