Join us in breaking the mold and shaping the future!So, what's the role?This role will be providing first-point-of-contact legal advice and will support the delivery of the corporate legal program for Bank First.In a typical day you will:Work with our Senior Legal Counsel to deliver a robust and relevant corporate legal program including providing legal advice to support the Bank;Review Terms and Conditions, and Contracts and any supporting policies and procedures;Review marketing and advertisements, terms and condition documents and other promotional and disclosure documents as required;Advise on and assist in the preparation of responses to regulators and bodies;Provide timely advisory services to the business in relation to changes to new products, projects, and new/changed processes to ensure an appropriate focus on compliance obligations and managing legal risks is considered and implemented;Provide coaching, support, awareness, and challenge to the business in relation to its legal obligations, and management of legal risks.About youYou will come equipped with:2-4 years of corporate legal experience, with some in-house legal experience required.An Australian qualified lawyer with tertiary qualifications in law from an accredited law school, with a current and unrestricted practising certificate.Demonstrated experience in drafting and reviewing contracts, and legal research.Ability to influence and liaise effectively across all levels of the organisation and build professional relationships with external stakeholders (e.g. lawyers, regulators, and industry bodies).Excellent verbal and written communication and report writing skills, along with developed analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.Outcomes focused, with an ability to work on unstructured tasks, and be inquisitive!BenefitsWe offer:For-purpose, a bank committed to helping its Members and their community.Impactful work that will genuinely make a difference to the lives of our Members!Work with values-driven leaders, who actively develop talent and support you to grow your career in an environment that empowers you to Be Bold.
