Legal Counsel

APG Workforce are currently seeking an experienced Legal Counsel based in Wakeley for a 6 month assignment.

The RoleInitial 6-month assignment with the possibility of a further 6-month extension.Hourly rate: $55.65 to $65.19 plus super.35 hours per week, Monday to Friday.Start date: 30/09/24 or around that time.We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Legal Counsel to join our team.
This role is pivotal in providing expert legal advice on compliance, commercial contracts, and dispute resolution, with a focus on supporting various business units and external stakeholders.
As a Legal Counsel, you will work closely with our Procurement and Governance divisions, handling legal matters efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities

Provide legal advice on compliance and transactional matters.Manage contract preparation, interpretation, and negotiation.Ensure sound legal risk management and compliance with relevant laws.Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external solicitors.Handle legal disputes and provide strategic guidance on resolutions.Requirements:

Admitted as a solicitor in NSW with a current practising certificate.Minimum 2 years of legal practice in compliance or transactional law.Strong understanding of contract law, legal risk management, and stakeholder engagement.Excellent communication and negotiation skills.Own car & license.Full Australian Working rights.Join us to make a meaningful impact on our legal operations and contribute to the success of our organization!
