The Opportunity: We have an exciting and newly created opportunity for a highly motivated and proactive Legal Counsel to join our Legal Team based at our Head Office in the Docklands. Reporting to our Head of Legal – Healthcare, you will assist the team to provide legal advice and support to the Healthcare Division across Australia and New Zealand.
We are seeking a commercial lawyer with strong contractual drafting skills and significant experience managing competing work priorities. The role will have a strong focus on contract drafting and negotiation, as well as legal research and providing pragmatic, commercial, and timely advice on a variety of matters including legal aspects of distribution and logistics operations; competition matters, health regulatory matters, advertising, privacy and intellectual property.
Strong communication skills, the ability to prioritise your workload, and working within a fast-paced environment will be critical to success.
What you will do: Advise on, draft and negotiate a diverse range of contracts and agreements with suppliers and customers;Provide clear, effective and practical legal advice on a wide range of matters;Conduct legal research and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and industry standards;Effectively collaborate with other members of the legal team and business to deliver practical solutions to mitigate legal risk.What we are looking for: Law degree with a current unrestricted practicing certificate;3-4+ years PQE in private practice and/or in-house legal teams;Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills;Analytical thinker with the ability to assess risks and provide actionable recommendations;Ability to manage competing priorities;High level of initiative and willingness to support and assist.This is a unique opportunity to work in a company where you are valued and rewarded for your hard work.
