Job Description: We are seeking a Legal Counsel to handle a range of legal matters that support Dental Boutique's daily operations, long-term strategies, and commitment to compliance. This role is central to guiding our leadership team on legal matters, maintaining regulatory standards, and protecting our interests in an evolving healthcare landscape.
Responsibilities: Provide expert legal advice across corporate, regulatory, employment, and operational matters to the executive team.Draft, review, and manage contracts, including client agreements, supplier contracts, property leases, and employment contracts, ensuring all agreements align with company objectives and legal standards.Oversee and manage complex employment law matters, including employee disputes, workplace investigations, and court orders.Manage and resolve legal issues related to defamation, slander, and reputation protection, including advising on media communications.Develop internal legal policies and procedures, providing training to staff on legal best practices, privacy, and compliance to ensure risk is managed effectively.Oversee regulatory compliance with healthcare standards, data protection laws, and employment legislation.Advise on dispute resolution strategies, including negotiation, mediation, or litigation as necessary, and liaise with external counsel when required.Conduct legal research and monitor changes in legislation, updating leadership on potential impacts and compliance requirements.Detailed Requirements: Qualifications: Qualified solicitor or barrister in Australia with at least 5 years of experience in healthcare law, corporate or commercial law.Experience:
Demonstrated experience in employment law, particularly in managing workplace disputes, court orders, and compliance with Fair Work and other employment regulations.Familiarity with handling defamation, slander, and reputation management cases, with a track record of successful resolution and proactive reputation protection.Extensive background in contract management, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance within healthcare or a similar regulated industry.Skills:
