Legal Counsel - Funds - 12 Month ContractYou will be joining a leading Australian Fund Manager as a Legal Counsel working on a broad range of legal issues on a 12 month contract based in Sydney or Melbourne.About the CompanyThe company is a leading Australian Fund Manager with a strong presence across Australia and established legal, risk, and compliance functions.About the RoleResponsibilities include:Provide relevant legal guidance in line with the organization's legal and regulatory requirements to support current products, new initiatives, and overall business operations both domestically and internationally.Stay informed on new legal and regulatory changes that may affect the organization's activities in various markets.Manage legal risks, ensuring adherence to best practices in corporate governance and organizational structures.Draft, negotiate, and review various legal agreements, including investment management, distribution, trading, vendor, and custody agreements.Prepare and evaluate product disclosure statements, constitutions, prospectuses, and other investment-related documentation.Review promotional materials such as advertisements, pitch presentations, monthly updates, quarterly reports, and marketing materials.Provide advice on intellectual property and privacy law matters.About YouYou have:Minimum 3 PQE with current practising certificate and relevant legal qualifications.Experience within funds management is essential.Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples are encouraged to apply.
