Add expected salary to your profile for insights.Elecnor has been contracted to build EnergyConnect, a new 700km transmission line extending from Wagga Wagga NSW to the South Australian border.This backbone infrastructure will connect customers with more renewable energy enabling a further 4950MW of generation capacity, save NSW customers $180 million a year and create 1,500 new construction jobs in regional NSW.Construction of EnergyConnect is underway in various locations across the project area.The RoleThis in-house construction legal counsel role will see you working with the Project Legal & Commercial team to support complex construction claims, disputes, and other project matters.Primary responsibilities will include:Providing legal advice to all Project areas, including for commercial, environmental, health & safety, and HR teams.Drafting and reviewing upstream (employer) and downstream (subcontractors) variations, EOT claims and legal/commercial correspondence including matters received or to be submitted in accordance with Security of Payment legislation.Assisting with strategies and negotiation in respect of disputes and claims, including project management of dispute avoidance and dispute resolution processes.Liaising with key stakeholders in the commercial teams, as well as the broader business.Supporting external law firms overseeing litigation matters, by providing instructions and responding to information requests.This is a 2-year fixed term contract role, based in the Sydney CBD and requires a candidate who is willing to work from our office on a full-time basis.The ideal candidate will bring:A minimum of 5 years PQE. Ideal candidates will have experience in back-end construction disputes, however, suitable candidates from other backgrounds will be considered.
