As part of the ongoing expansion of the in-house legal team, an exciting new opportunity has emerged for a dedicated Work Place Relations (WPR) lawyer to join the organization's supportive and collaborative lawyers located in the heart of Melbourne's CBD.
The position reports to a Senior Legal Counsel and provides plenty of senior stakeholder engagement and interaction.
The successful candidate will be a commercially focused lawyer with a background in WPR matters particularly claims and disputes and a minimum of 2 years' PQE from a well-regarded employment law practice or in-house environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide advice on workplace relations law (employment, industrial relations, sexual harassment and bullying claims, safety and discrimination)Advise on policies and processesAttend conciliation - FWC and WorkSafePoint of contact for internal clients and external parties where relevantDevelop relationships with key stakeholders and their teamsEnhance and maintain template documentsLiaise with external advisorsProvide training where requiredThis is your opportunity to play a pivotal role in driving positive change within the education sector.
