The opportunity for U:We're now on the lookout for a commercially minded Legal Counsel to join our dynamic in-house legal team on a 6-month FTC. In your role, you will partner with senior stakeholders to provide strategic advice to effectively deliver legal services to our business, reporting directly to our General Counsel.You'll have a passion for adding value through your exceptional stakeholder management skills and strong business acumen. Take a look and see if this is the next career step for GBST & U.What U will do:Advising on a broad range of commercial contracts including negotiation and preparation of complex technology contracts including SaaS arrangements.Providing expert input on general commercial matters, including intellectual property, employment, privacy, data protection and corporate law.Educating and upskilling the business on legal matters and risk management.Initiating and contributing to continuous improvement in project methodologies, processes and supporting tools.Desired Skills and Experience
U will be someone with:Tertiary qualifications as a lawyer with an unrestricted practising certificate.At least 6+ years post-admission experience.Experience as sole or lead negotiator.Demonstrated success providing commercially focused and pragmatic legal advice.Current or prior experience working at a mid- or top-tier law firm, technology vendor or financial services organisation.If you're looking for a role where you can be a part of exciting innovation - we want to hear from you!
