In Australia, we have 3 offices in Melbourne, Sydney and Perth and around 220 team members.  Job Description We are seeking dedicated Legal Assistants to join our Sydney team on a permanent basis. As a Legal Assistant, you will be an integral member of the Construction team or Commodities team and help to ensure smooth day-to-day running of the team by providing proactive and effective general administration assistance to the Partners and fee earner group. Your key tasks and responsibilities will include: Practice Management Draft and prepare bills Draft Client Care Letters Open new matters while adhering to Risk & Compliance procedures Maintain filing systems, including e-files and closure/archiving process Schedule and confirm client meetings Maintain client information and records Manage expense submissions Assist new staff with office procedures Support with reporting as required Provide general administrative support to the wider team as required Assist with office administration, cover Reception and complete other administrative tasks as required Preparation of Documents Document production including dictation, formatting, editing and printing  Prepare documents for meetings/signature Conduct legal research Communication Organise and triage e-mails Handle calls for the team Liaise with clients, maintain and foster relationships Desired Skills and Experience If you possess a minimum of 2 years' experience in a professional services or legal firm, this might be the role for you. Specifically, we seek for individuals who: Have experience with hourly billing Demonstrate a proven ability to maintain and build relationships Exhibit exceptional attention to detail Possess intermediate skills in MS Office  Can effectively liaise with people at all levels Are highly organised Maintain strong professional communication, both written and verbal Are eager to learn and share their knowledge Prior experience with iManage and Elite is highly regarded but not essential If you're ready to take the next step, apply now to join our team.
