Legal Assistant - Litigation & Dispute ResolutionDescriptionOPPORTUNITY We have an exciting full-time opportunity for a Legal Assistant to join our dynamic Litigation & Dispute Resolution team based in our Melbourne office.
This is a great role for an individual eager to expand their skillset and progress their career within a law firm committed to personal growth.
In this role you'll be responsible for:
Preparation of correspondence and Court documents.Liaising with Barristers, Mediators, Experts and Court Administrators.Communicating with clients, which includes arranging meetings and teleconferences.Preparing, editing and formatting written correspondence and Court documents.Diary, email and calendar management.Opening and closing files.End of month billing.General administrative duties including scanning, filing and binding documents.ABOUT YOU You will have:
Demonstrated experience as a Legal Assistant, preferably within a litigation practice (advantageous but not essential).Exceptional organisational and time management skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Outstanding attention to detail.High level computer literacy skills, including proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of apps.A strong commitment to excellence in client service.You will also be:
A self-motivated individual capable of working independently and with limited supervision.A team player who can take direction and foster professional relationships with both staff and clients.Aligned with our values - talk straight, play as a team and better each day.The successful applicant will be required to undertake and satisfy a National Police Records Check.
