Eden Lawyers are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Legal Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing administrative and clerical support to our Solicitors and Senior Conveyancer, ensuring the smooth operation of our office. This role requires excellent organisational skills, the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently, and a professional demeanour when interacting with clients.Your key responsibilities will include:Draft & send initial and final letters on conveyancing transactionsOpen new files in LEAP Software, prepare and maintain filesPrepare documents for signing/certifying and draft client cost agreementsPrepare correspondence and create hyperlinks for electronic document disclosureUndertake legal research and photocopying/scanning of documentsOrder searches through InfotrackMaintaining Safe Custody records including scanning & bindingArchive client files and close files upon completion of transactionsProvision of administrative support/EA assistance to our Albury Solicitors and Principal PractitionerAnswer incoming telephone enquiries and general reception dutiesScheduling client appointments for our solicitorsGeneral office support duties including stationary orders, office supplies, maintain boardroom & kitchenAbout you -You are a highly organised and detail-oriented professional with a passion for providing exceptional administrative support. You thrive in a fast-paced legal environment and possess the following attributes:Previous experience as a Legal Assistant or Conveyancing Assistant (NSW/VIC/QLD)Proficiency in LEAP Software would be highly regardedAbility to take instruction from all staff including solicitors, conveyancers, and paralegalsStrong organisational and multitasking skillsExcellent verbal and written communicationThorough understanding of confidentialityProfessional demeanour and excellent customer serviceAttention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.All applications will be treated with confidence.
