We have an opportunity for a Legal Assistant to join our growing General Insurance section based in our Sydney office.
The role will provide administrative support to a number of fee-earners (including partners and lawyers of all levels) in the General Insurance team. This is a fantastic opportunity to hit the ground running and be part of a friendly, fast-paced team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Telephone handling for the team. Preparation of monthly billing. Managing client file maintenance for the team. Coordinating outgoing mail. Assisting Partner with general practice management. Maintaining Partner/lawyers' contacts in our firm CRM InterAction, including assisting with list management on their behalf for events and communications. Drafting of documentation as required. Other ad-hoc administration duties as required. About you: We would like to hear from candidates with the following skills and experience:
A minimum of one year of legal assistant experience in an insurance practice. Experience in private practice is desirable. We will also consider applications from law students who are studying part-time and are able to commit to a full-time position. Highly organised. A team player. Excellent communication skills. Experience in using legal billing system and client management program (e.g. Aderant would be desirable but not required).
