The role We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Legal Assistant to join our Sydney Corporate M&A practice group on a full-time basis, working 5 days in the office.
In this fast-paced role you will play a pivotal role in providing support to two M&A Partners and a team of senior lawyers, alongside the team's Executive Assistant.
Your day-to-day As a trusted member of the team, your day will be filled with a variety of tasks, including:
Monthly billing including debtor control.Matter management, including file opening and closing.Proactive diary management.Managing travel arrangements.Coaching and mentoring the team's Administrative Assistant.Assisting with document preparation, including drafting and editing.Liaising with clients and internal stakeholders by phone, email, and in-person.About you To be successful in this role you will have 2+ years' legal or professional services secretarial experience and will possess the below:
Ability to anticipate Partner requirements.Ability to work under pressure and manage conflicting priorities.Ability to operate with minimal instructions.Confidence in decision making.Ability to work with others in a team.Previous billing experience essential (experience with Aderant Expert would be advantageous, but not essential).Strong understanding of Microsoft Office.Ability to think on your feet and adapt to a fast-paced environment.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Please note, we are not open to considering students for this opportunity.
