Why we need you
The Legal and Commercial Services Manager manages the provision of legal and commercial services such as legal briefs, negotiation and facilitation of commercial agreements, litigation, and risk management.
The ideal candidate will be team orientated and have proven experience in working with a range of external stakeholders such as private law firms, private contractors, mining companies, property developers and other State Government Agencies including the State Solicitor's Office and the other Transport Portfolio partners.
You will need to have the ability to effectively collaborate with and build and enhance internal and external strategic relationships with legal advisors, private contractors, mining companies, property developers and internal Main Roads customers.
As part of the Management Team, your demonstrated leadership skills will be at the forefront. Your focus will be on empowering and developing your team while ensuring compliance with corporate governance principles. Your ability to manage financial, physical and other resources together with your management of employee behaviour, performance and development will be crucial in being successful in this role.
