As the successful candidate, you will have the opportunity to add an enormous amount of value to the day-to-day efficient running of the practice by immersing yourself in the team and will gain satisfaction from seeing your hard work make a difference.This role will see you play a central and valued role in supporting a group of legal professionals. This role offers the right candidate many opportunities to demonstrate exceptional organisational and administrative skills, and work with a variety of highly experienced litigators.With no two days the same, the tasks you will be responsible for are;Executive Assistant duties for the Chairman of Partners and General Counsel such as travel bookings, taking and preparation of minutes, diary management and reconciliation of accountsOpening and closing matters, conducting conflict searchesAssistance with court document preparation, online filing and draftingAttending to time entries, processing third party invoices, monthly billing and reportingPreparation of documents including letters, contracts and general correspondenceGeneral adhoc administrative duties such as document managementAbout youTo succeed in this role, you will ideally have:Strong experience in a law firm environment, ideally supporting a litigation practice groupExcellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise to ensure deadlines are metExposure to working with systems (FileSite and Expert desirable), with the ability to pick up new systems quicklyHigh level of attention to detail whilst working in a fast-paced environmentExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work collaboratively within a team whilst also autonomously at timesStrong work ethic with a fun, engaging personalityAbout Us Piper Alderman is a premier commercial law firm with offices in Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth and Melbourne.
